The most common materials used to weave Shataranji are cotton yarn, chenille yarn, jute yarn as well as wool yarn.
Shatranji carpets and rugs are available in a wide range of sizes, from smaller floor mats to larger rugs for living rooms and other areas. Common sizes include 3 feet x 5 feet | 4 feet x 6 feet | 5 feet x 7 feet | 6 feet x 8.5 feet. We also offer even larger sizes, such as 6 feet x 9 feet or bigger, depending on the design and our client's preference.
- Vacuum both sides to prevent dust build up every few days (You may also use a carpet brush).
- For stains/spills, use a soft bristle brush with mild soap and water to rinse.
- Dry cleaning every few years helps the rug keep its luster.
- Soaking product in water or a machine wash is not recommended.
Note: If you have a snagged loop, please do not pull it. Simply cut off the loop with sharp scissors to avoid any further pulling - this will not affect the rug's performance.
